Hoy - Hushovd - Sunderland - Cavendish

TARGETSPORTS hosted a table at last night’s Braveheart Cycling Fund annual fund-raising event in Scotland. The customary ride had earlier gone ahead in atrocious weather conditions, with winds in Scotland yesterday reported at up to 90 miles per hour.  The dinner was the perfect tonic after a freezing cold ride accross the Scottish countryside.

In attendance at the dinner were some of the the top current stars of world track and road cycling, including Olympic hero Chris Hoy, Tour sensation Mark Cavendish and Norwegian green jersey contender Thor Hushovd.  There were numerous legends also in attendance, including ever-present Sean Kelly and former hour record holder and ex-World Champion Graeme Obree.

As always, the evening was a fantastic success, not only giving fans the opportunity to meet their heroes, but also in raising over £30,000 towards the funding of young Scottish cyclists of the future through the many raffles and auctions of unique cycling memorabilia.  To make a donation to the Braveheart Cycling Fund please click this link.
